Aircraft Interiors Expo has to be postponed again in view of the current situation. Whereas AIX 2021 was last planned for next April, there is now certainty of a new date. From August 31st to September 2nd, 2021, the renowned aviation trade fair will now take place in Hamburg.
After consulting with exhibitors and airlines, we recognise the industry needs more time to allow for the reopening of borders, lifting of travel restrictions and resuming of services. It is clear that the industry needs to meet in person later in 2021. Our priority is to deliver an engaging and COVID-secure face-to-face event in September that gives our exhibitors and visitors the additional time to adapt and continue on the path to recovery.
Polly Magraw, Exhibition Director, Aircraft Interiors Expo
We at WingMag stand behind this decision, after all, safety always comes first. Due to the postponed date for AIX 2021, it will take longer until we can finally get in touch with our readers again and discover new innovations in aviation. But as the saying goes: anticipation is half the fun.
One event that will be postponed due to the rescheduling of AIX 2021 is the Crystal Cabin Award. As already reported, next year the nominees who were nominated at the beginning of this year will compete for the award in eight categories. However, there are also two new categories: “Clean & Safe Air Travel” and “Judges’ Choice Award”, for which concepts can now be submitted.
